Discover All That the Subaru Ascent Offers
The Subaru Ascent is the largest SUV in our lineup at our dealership. It comes with three rows of seats and a nice amount of cargo space, and it does well in terms of performance and capability. In the Ascent, you can travel with confidence around Fayetteville, even if the conditions aren't the best. You'll stay comfortable in the cabin, and you'll have access to many high-tech features, too. For so many reasons, the Ascent stands out as an intriguing option.

Great Performance from The Subaru Ascent Family SUV
A 2.4-liter turbocharged engine gives the Ascent 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. With this kind of power, it's easy to accelerate quickly on Raeford highways, even with a full cabin. While the entry-level trim can tow 2,000 pounds, all the others can tow as much as 5,000 pounds. You'll have a lot of flexibility in regards to what kind of gear you can bring with you during your travels.
Subaru has paired the Ascent's turbocharged engine with a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission. This transmission comes with paddle shifters that let you manually transition between eight different gears. If you ever want to have more control over your Ascent when you're traveling, it can be a fun experience to use the paddle shifters.
You might already be aware that the Ascent, just like the other Subaru SUVs available, comes standard with all-wheel drive. An all-wheel-drive system can make adjustments whenever you venture into tough terrain or encounter slippery roads. Plus, the Ascent has X-MODE, which can enhance traction even more. You can turn on X-MODE with the push of a button, while the all-wheel-drive system can handle everything on its own.
Three Rows of Seating, Ample Space and Rugged Materials
With room for eight, the Ascent can be a practical choice if you anticipate having a lot of passengers riding with you around Southern Pines. The Ascent offers more than 42 inches of first-row leg room, almost 39 inches of second-row leg room, and nearly 32 inches of third-row leg room. The second row can either feature a pair of captain's chairs or a bench seat that has three seating positions. While the configuration with captain's chairs does reduce seating capacity by one, it can make the cabin feel more open. Whatever type of seating arrangement you choose, you'll be able to lower the seatbacks whenever necessary. Folding down the entire second and third rows results in more than 75 cubic feet of cargo space, which is quite impressive.
At our dealership, we carry a range of Ascent trims. Many come with power-adjustable driver's seats, along with heated front seats. They can have heated second-row outboard seats and heated steering wheels, too, and the most sophisticated trim features heated and ventilated front seats for year-round comfort. Additionally, that highest trim has been upgraded with Nappa leather upholstery. The other trims have leather, StarTex, or cloth seats, all of which also look quite nice.
Technology and Safety
The Ascent comes with an 11.6-inch touchscreen. Since this touchscreen is set up with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you'll have access to some of your apps when you're driving around Fayetteville. Some trims have been further enhanced with integrated navigation as well as Harman Kardon premium sound systems. Also, Wi-Fi capability can be included with the Ascent's technology package. When you have passengers riding with you, everyone can appreciate the multiple USB ports located throughout the cabin.
To help you stay safe and remain aware of potential concerns, the Ascent will always be on the lookout for you. It can warn you about obstacles in your way and lane departures, and it can slow you down and correct your steering if necessary.
