Cross Creek Subaru Hosts Paws of the Pines Adoption Drive for Subaru Loves Pets Month
This past Saturday, October 17, Cross Creek Subaru opened its doors to some very special guests. As part of Subaru Loves Pets® month, we hosted an adoption drive with Paws of the Pines, and it was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, met the animals, and helped us make the day a great one.
A Day for Shelter Pets
We’re grateful to the team at Paws of the Pines for the work they do every day to care for animals in need and match them with loving families. Their dedication is what makes events like this possible.
Part of a National Commitment
Our adoption drive is part of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, a nationwide campaign that Subaru of America runs with its retailers and the ASPCA®. Subaru is the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA, and this year the automaker and its participating retailers are providing nearly $3.2 million in grants to local partner shelters, administered by the ASPCA. By the end of October, more than $75 million will have been donated to local and national animal welfare organizations since the program began.
The need is real. According to the ASPCA, approximately 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters and rescues in 2025.
Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America, put the goal simply: to make sure more animals have the chance to be part of the moments that shape our families, including the way we live, travel, and spend our time. Subaru encourages people to adopt, foster, and help make a lasting difference for animals in need.
Pets Are Part of the Family, and the Road Trip
A Subaru-commissioned survey by Talker Research of 2,000 pet owners found that 73% are more likely to take a road trip than fly so they can bring their pet along, and 45% have turned down travel opportunities that couldn’t accommodate their pet. For many of us, a new pet means a new travel partner.
Ways You Can Help This October
Subaru is offering several ways to support the ASPCA throughout the month:
- Subie Texts: Text PETS to 78243 and Subaru will donate $1 to the ASPCA for each new subscriber, up to $25,000.
- Pet-Friendly Accessories: Subaru will donate $30 to the ASPCA for each purchase of select Genuine Subaru Pet-Friendly Accessories through Subaru Parts Online, up to $10,000.
- Animals Badge of Ownership: Subaru will donate $1 to the ASPCA for each Animals Badge of Ownership ordered, up to $5,000.
Some of these promotions carry terms and conditions, so check subaru.com/pets for the details.
